AMD najavljuje nove procesore i akceleratore za područje data centara. Ove novine bi trebale ojačati AMD-ov položaj na tržištu.

Prema dostupnim informacijama, AMD će objaviti Helios platformu i Instinct MI500 AI akceleratore u razdoblju 2026–2027. Ove objave bi trebale biti dio AMD-ove strategije za ojačanje pozicije na tržištu enterprise CPU-a i AI GPU-a.

AMD-ov roadmap uključuje i nove procesore za data centre, kao što su Venice i Verano. Ovi procesori bi trebali biti temeljeni na Zen 6 arhitekturi i CDNA akceleratoru.

Prema ranim signalima, ovi procesori bi trebali pružati bolje performanse i učinkovitost u odnosu na postojeće procesore. Tom's Hardware navodi da će AMD-ov novi procesor Venice imati do 256 jezgri i biti temeljen na TSMC-ovoj N2 (2nm-class) tehnologiji.

Također, navodi se da će EPYC Venice procesor imati novo SP7 form faktor s povećanim brojem memorije i PCIe linija. Research brief navodi da će AMD-ov roadmap uključiti i nove Instinct AI/HPC akceleratore, kao što su MI400 i MI500.

Ovi akceleratori bi trebali biti temeljeni na CDNA arhitekturi i pružati bolje performanse za AI i HPC aplikacije.
