Falcon 9 s oznakom B1078 ponovo je dokazao da je ponovna uporaba raketa-nosača postala operativni standard, a ne iznimka. Ovoga puta, u 22. misiji SpaceX-a ove godine, nosio je 29 Starlink satelita verzije V2 Mini, dizajniranih za veću propusnost od prethodnih modela.

Polijetanje s lansirne rampe SLC-40 na Cape Canaveralu u 02:56:40 UTC (23:56:40 po lokalnom vremenu) pratilo je karakteristično usmjeravanje prema sjeveroistoku — putanja optimizirana za postavljanje u orbitu nagiba 43°. Lansiranje Starlink 10-41 nije bilo samo još jedan redni let, već potvrda da SpaceX održava prosječni ritam od po jednu misiju svaka 3,5 dana u 2024.

To nije samo logističko postignuće, već i strateški signal: konstelacija od trenutno 5,660 aktivnih satelita (prema podacima Space-Track.org) raste brže od konkurencije, čime se osigurava dominacija u segmentu niskolatentnog satelitskog interneta. Zanimljivo je da je prvi stupanj rakete, s 10 prethodnih letova u svom dosjeu, uspio sletjeti na autonomnu platformu Just Read the Instructions u Atlantskom oceanu.

Ta ponovna uporaba — koja je 2015. bila eksperiment, a danas rutina — smanjuje troškove lansiranja za procijenjenih 30%, prema analizi Bryce Tech.

Kontekst ove misije postaje jasniji kada se pogleda šira slika: SpaceX ne gradi samo internet mrežu, već infrastrukturu za buduće misije. Starlink V2 Mini sateliti, s većom antenom i efikasnijim solarnim panelima, testiraju tehnologije koje će kasnije biti implementirane u punoj V2 konstelaciji — ona koja će, prema Elonu Musku, omogućiti 'direktno povezivanje s mobilnim uređajima' bez dodatne opreme.

Međutim, brza ekspanzija donosi i izazove. Astronomska zajednica i dalje upozorava na svjetlosno onečišćenje koje sateliti stvaraju, dok regulatori u EU razmatraju nova pravila za upravljanje prometom u nisko Zemljinoj orbiti. SpaceX je na to odgovorio implementacijom Dielectric Mirror Film na novijim satelitima, no učinkovitost te mjere još je predmet neovisnih studija.

Sljedeći korak bit će integracija ovih 29 satelita u postojeću mrežu, što obično traje 3-5 tjedana. Kritično će biti pratiti njihovu orbitu — posebno nakon nedavnih incidenata kada su Starlink sateliti morali izvesti manevre izbjegavanja zbog svemirskog otpada.

To nije više pitanje jesu li takvi događaji mogući, već kako često će se ponavljati.

Pitanje koje sada postoji je kako će se ova brza ekspanzija odraziti na okoliš i svemirsku sigurnost. Svjetlosno onečišćenje i svemirski otpad postaju sve veći problemi. Potrebno je naći ravnotežu između tehnološkog napretka i zaštite okoliša. SpaceX i druge svemirske agencije moraju raditi na rješavanju ovih izazova.
