IAIL je zanimljiv jer omogućuje robotima različitih fizičkih dizajna da dijele vještine kroz namjeru, a ne kroz identične pokrete. To znači da robot više ne mora kopirati svaki detalj drugog robota, nego razumjeti što zadatak želi postići. U istraživačkom smislu, to je važan korak.

Testovi sa sedam robota i 30 scenarija pokazuju da pristup radi u kontroliranim uvjetima. Ali to još uvijek nije dokaz da će ista logika raditi u skladištu, bolnici ili na gradilištu gdje su podovi prljavi, svjetlo loše, a smetnje stalne.

Zato je IAIL dobar primjer metode koja smanjuje potrebu za mehaničkom identičnošću. No tijela robota i dalje ostaju različita, a stvarni svijet to voli podsjetiti.

Najveća prednost je jezik kao most između različitih platformi. To bi moglo olakšati suradnju heterogenih timova robota u proizvodnji i drugim područjima.

Ipak, integracija u stvarni svijet znači i borbu s baterijama, senzorima, održavanjem i greškama koje demo ne prikazuje. Ako metoda ne preživi te uvjete, ostaje elegantan akademski alat.

Drugim riječima, roboti možda dijele namjeru. Tijela im i dalje ne dijele problem.
